What’s New at Lohman Company?

As the summer comes to a close and we look forward to the exciting things to come, the team a Lohman Company want to give you a look back at some fun summer time adventures our team has had both in the office and in the community.

New Faces!

Recent Conferences and Presentations…

Seth Marty attended the Integra International AAA Conference in Houston, Texas on May 14-17. The attendees included members from a large number of states and members from many countries including: England, Italy, China, Mexico, Panama, Qatar and Brazil. The conference allowed our firm to strengthen relationships with many firms around the world, which in turn will help our firm provide increased value to you, our clients! In May, Mary Jordan, Tax Partner, gave a presentation on gift & estate taxes as part of the “Women & Wealth” series sponsored by Trust Bank.  The focus of the free educational series is to help women in the East Valley build prosperity.  Some of the items covered in the presentation were the difference in tax basis to the recipient between a gift and an inheritance, the tax benefits of making gifts during lifetime and filing an estate tax return although no tax is due in order to elect portability of the deceased spouse’s unused estate tax exclusion.

Lohman Company Giving Back

On June 6th, Partner Craig Lohman, his wife Julia and their children Sarah, Ryan, Emma, Lucy and Jack, along with team members, Crystal Noel and daughter Easton volunteered along with the Mesa Chamber of Commerce at Feed My Starving Children. They spent time packing food that would then be shipped to the Philippines to help feed children in need.

Fun in the Office Too!

The office enjoyed a BYOT (Bring Your Own Toppings) fiesta in celebration of Cinco de Mayo. The toppings went along with a variety of dipping chips and virgin margaritas.

Continuing our summer tradition, Lohman Company team members enjoyed a summer of three day weekends. The office was closed each Friday during July. This allowed our employees to spend more time with their families during the summer vacation.
