Doug Dunderman

Hire Date:  September 19, 2022

Doug Dunderman is a versatile, hands-on program/project manager and process optimization champion with significant experience in the financial services, healthcare, and IT sectors. He enjoys leading IT, large organizational transformations, M&A integrations, and regulatory-related projects. Doug is PMP-certified and has completed numerous professional development courses. He received his MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a bachelor’s degree from Bowling State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Doug enjoys reading, running, and working on a never-ending list of home projects. Doug has two children: Drew, a graduate of The Ohio State University, and Grace, a senior at Ohio University. Doug and his wife Laura reside in Cincinnati, OH.

We are very excited to have Doug as part of the Lohman Team.

Lohman Company believes in engaging with our local community to bring a positive, measurable change to our neighborhoods, where we work, and where we live.   How have we been involved?

Our office held several fun events for our employees to give back to our community. Our primary focus was assisting with several programs that Mesa United Way hosts. We also participated in “Giving Tuesday” with Feed My Starving Children.

Each year, we select a charity to donate to in lieu of mailing out holiday cards. This year our employees elected Foster360. Foster360 pairs young adults in the foster system with a mentor that helps them prepare to build a successful and fulfilling life through team building and leadership development.

Feed My Starving Children

Volunteers pack meals that are shipped around the world to starving countries. These packages are distributed to schools, orphanages, clinics, and feeding programs.  Our employees volunteered their time at a packing event on “Giving Tuesday” this past November.  Our team packed 25 boxes which equaled 900 bags of food.

 

It’s Time to Unwind

Life is about balance.  We all must take time to rest, relax, and recharge.  These moments will re-energize the mind, body & soul!

Tracy Kring, Tax Admin, and her family had some Halloween fun at Disneyland. They said it was a “spooktacular” time.

Proud Parent moment!  Senior night at Queen Creek High School.

Toni Donovan, daughter of Executive Assistant, Sue Donovan, was escorted down the football field with her family for senior night. She is on the Varsity Pom team, in addition to performing with the school’s top dance company, Prodigy. She is also a teacher’s aide for the advanced dance class this year.

“This night was filled with so much emotion. I am so proud of Toni’s accomplishments through High School, but sad that this time will be coming to an end soon. I am hoping dance will still be a big part of her journey through life as I know how much she loves it.” – Sue Donovan (aka Mom)

Holiday Traditions

Sharing experiences, linking our past, and brightening the moment.  Holiday traditions hold strong bonds with family and friends.

When I was growing up my family and I would always travel to Oregon for the Christmas holiday to see extended family. My Grandma Margie would always have a “Gumdrop Tree” with red and green gumdrops on it. When my girls were young my mother found a “Gumdrop Tree”, so my family gets to take part in this tradition I enjoyed as a child.

My Great-Grandma Annie loved dessert and hated that at Thanksgiving there were so many wonderful desserts that you were too full to eat once you finished the meal so she started having “Pie Night” on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and all the family would bring a dessert to share.

Every year, my household holds our annual family gathering for Christmas. We invite our parents, siblings and their families, and my aunts and their families. We have 20-25 people that gather to enjoy the spirit of this day. We all enjoy a nice dinner and a gift exchange.

Years ago, I was cleaning up wrapping paper that accumulated all over the living room from all the kids opening their presents.  (I am a bit of a clean freak and always get yelled at that it can wait until after everyone goes home.)  Well, I was at it again, in the middle of the party, and my mom picked up some wrapping paper, balled it up, and threw it at me in a gesture to “stop cleaning”. The kids were young at the time and thought it was hilarious and joined in.  I was being attacked by little balls of wrapping paper. It turned into a full “wrapping paper fight”.  Everyone joined in. It was so much fun and laughter filled the room. This stuck each year and now we have our annual “wrapping paper fight”. The kids are grown now and have become very creative with their techniques. Much like a snowball fight, but in my living room.

I have two nephews that are both in the military. We are excited and blessed that both of them will be joining us this year for the holiday.  One nephew messaged me and asked if we are still on at my house for our annual gathering and told me to be prepared for the annual “wrapping paper fight”. My heart was filled with so much joy to know that he still wants to come and make memories with us. Traditions really do bond a family.

Spinach Quiche

Ingredients

  • One Pillsbury Pie Crust
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped spinach (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 garlic clove (pressed)
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (or spice it with Pepper Jack cheese).  Alternate: Colby Jack
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Press pie crust into a 9” pie pan
  3. Pre-bake crust for about 10 minutes. Set aside
  4. Sautee onion, garlic, spinach in butter.  Sprinkle in salt & pepper
  5. In medium mixing bowl – whisk the eggs & milk
  6. Spread cheese at the bottom of pie crust
  7. Spread spinach mixture over cheese
  8. Pour in the egg/milk until mixed with spinach & cheese
  9. Bake 375 for 35 minutes.
  • Cover the edges with foil if crust starts to brown quickly
