Creative differences in the workplace can lead to messy situations. While some differences have easy resolutions, there can be times when both parties cannot find common ground, leading to a strained and tense workplace. How can both employers and employees resolve these differences?
In an article from Entrepreneur, author Will Meier writes, “Creative differences don’t have to equal creative divorce. In fact, a lot of times they end up making the work better than you thought it could be, if you know how to navigate it correctly.”
In his article, Meier discusses 4 ways to resolve creative differences in the workplace:
- Being specific
- Getting objective
- Asking questions
- Loosening Up
Meier suggests that we should move away from the negative connotation “creative differences” was originally meant to obscure. While there will always be problems in the workplace, knowing how to navigate them is essential to any successful company.
