The Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) recently issued an alert for all employers warning of a W-2 email phishing scam happening this tax filing season. The warning stated that human resource and payroll offices are being targeted with emails that appear to be sent from a company executive, and are requesting employee W-2 and payroll information. The ADOR advises companies to always contact the person requesting personal information by phone or in person, and never to respond to the email.
