On Friday, March 20, 2020, Secretary of the Treasury Steve Mnuchin released a statement that the federal tax filing deadline has moved in response to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The new deadline of July 15, 2020 corresponds with the tax payment deadline previously rescheduled earlier in the week.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU?
Due to the extenuating circumstances surrounding COVID-19, our office has closed to the public and the majority of our employees are working from home.

In many ways, the work we do for you will not be impacted. However, we are moving forward with the following policies in place:

  • We encourage you to use our client portal as much as possible to send all documents needed to complete your return securely.
  • All in-person meetings have been changed to a phone or video conference.
  • All paper documents will be delivered via third-party delivery services.
  • Tax returns that require face-to-face consultation, paper review, and/or hard signatures will be completed as soon as we are able to return to normal working procedures. At this time, we do not know the exact date that will happen, but we will keep you informed of ongoing changes and developments regarding COVID-19.
